About Ryan

Ryan provides building enclosure consulting, commissioning (BECx) and forensic engineering services for a variety of clients in both the private and government sectors. His primary responsibilities include design development assistance, technical plan and specification peer review, and quality assurance field observations related to exterior enclosure systems (air, water, thermal and vapor control layers). In addition, Ryan has extensive experience in building envelope field performance testing including fenestrations, curtain walls, claddings, and whole-building air barrier testing.

Prior to joining the Lerch Bates team, Ryan gained valuable building enclosure experience as a project manager with curtain wall and architectural metal panel firms on projects such as the Trump Tower in Chicago. His expertise is in detailing of building enclosure systems and ensuring compliance of installed components in the field with the design intent and performance requirements.
