About Sean

Sean provides enclosure consulting and repair design services for both historic and modern buildings with numerous façade systems, including masonry, concrete, EIFS, glass, and metal panels. He has provided these services to clients in multiple markets, including healthcare, data centers, multifamily residential, commercial mixed-use and higher-education. Sean has worked for Lerch Bates since 2023.

Prior to joining Lerch Bates in 2023, Sean worked as an enclosure consultant for six years. In addition to the services previously listed, he performed façade inspections for the City of Chicago “Exterior Walls Program” and performed building science investigations related to water leakage, air infiltration, stack effect, coating failure, and more. Prior to that, he worked as a photovoltaic system designer for 2 years, designing solar panel arrays for commercial rooftops.

Sean is passionate about sustainability, which is an interest he developed and explored throughout his education. He has brought that to the forefront of his career in promoting the design and construction of more efficient new buildings and the rehabilitation of existing buildings.
