About Patrick

Pat graduated from Virginia Tech in 2017 with a master’s degree in structural engineering. After a two-year stretch honing his skills as a structural engineer and building enclosure consultant in Houston, TX, Pat joined BECS’s Baltimore Office. Since his arrival in 2019, Pat has conducted a suite of consulting services. From forensic investigations of structural failures to the design and construction oversight of building enclosure repairs on historic structures, Pat’s professional experience reaches numerous facets of a building’s structural and architectural systems. Pat’s Society of Professional Rope Access Technician (SPRAT) certification allows him to efficiently assess building enclosures and other challenging access areas via rope access means. Today, Pat oversees Baltimore’s consultancy operations as Director, where he provides technical and management support to both clients and colleagues to ensure an exceptional experience throughout a project’s lifecycle.

Pat is a registered Professional Engineer and currently leads AIA Baltimore’s Historic Resources Committee as Co-Chair. Pat also previously served as Marketing Co-Chair for the Association of Preservation Technology – Washington DC Chapter. His affinity for providing practical and simple solutions to complex problems in historic structures has naturally progressed his projects portfolio to focus on a range of historic structures assessments and repairs.
