Rick Shimonek is Vice President of Market Development at Lerch Bates, where he partners with owners, developers, architects, and facility teams to align technical consulting expertise with project and portfolio goals across the built environment. Based in Denver, Rick supports projects nationwide, connecting clients with Lerch Bates’ multidisciplinary services throughout every phase of the building lifecycle.

With a background in engineering and business development, Rick brings a practical, solutions-oriented perspective to complex building challenges. He has held progressively responsible roles at Lerch Bates spanning operations, sales leadership, and market development, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both technical delivery and client needs.

At Lerch Bates, Rick works closely with internal technical teams across vertical transportation, building enclosures, forensics, and related specialties to help clients mitigate risk, improve building performance, and maximize long-term value. He is known for his collaborative approach and ability to translate technical insights into actionable strategies for diverse stakeholders.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University and is committed to building long-term client relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness, and results.
