Tor L. Oksnevad, P.E.

Tor L. Oksnevad, Director of Operations, has over 12 years of diverse experience in construction consulting. His areas of expertise include building enclosure assessment and design and structural engineering.

Tor joined Lerch Bates in 2018 as a Project Manager. Tor provides assessment, design and construction phase services for new and rehabilitation projects.  His focus on the building enclosure system includes the design and coordination of structural components, air and vapor barriers, roofing assemblies, curtain wall, exterior cladding and façade, and waterproofing. He is involved in projects from proposal, design development, contract document review, and construction administrative services.

Prior to joining Lerch Bates, Tor first served as a Design Engineer specializing in curtain wall and exterior cladding design. Later, he served as a Structural Engineer where he was responsible for the complete structural design of new buildings as well as renovations. His structural engineering experience includes the design and detailing of foundations as well as gravity and lateral framing systems utilizing wood, steel, concrete, and masonry. He also developed a specialty in custom hand-framed wood design and detailing.

In his spare time, Tor enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors
