About Richard
Richard J. Roberts, Director of Architectural Design, has over 30 years in the vertical transportation industry. He first started in 1988 in the field installing elevators in the United Kingdom. He was promoted to different roles within ThyssenKrupp in several countries before joining Lerch Bates in Canada, then Dubai, and finally relocating to New York City, USA. Richard is competent in the Vertical Transportation design of new buildings on four (4) continents, from initial Traffic Analysis through to final Acceptance Inspections, in all sectors including commercial, residential, hotel, mixed-use, healthcare, retail, transport, supertall, megatall, etc. His roles have required a close working relationship with some of the highest profile architects in the world on projects such as the Burj Khalifa.
He has also been requested to speak and chair at high-rise conferences.
