Constructed in 1992, the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel in Tama, IA offers guests over 67,000 SF of casino space, 404 hotel rooms, a pool, whirlpool, spa, salon, as well as a lounge featuring live music, an upscale steak house, and a food court. The lobby features many museum-quality displays of Meskwaki artifacts and photos, showing guests a long and proud Native American heritage.
Lerch Bates was retained by the Sac & Fox Tribe to conduct an assessment of the two hotel towers that guided a large scale building modernization project for which Lerch Bates is the designer of record. The modernization project includes complete facade replacement with a new aesthetic scheme and lighting, HVAC replacement, roof replacement, and guest room interior upgrades.
