UPMC Bed Tower – Oakland Campus

Lerch Bates provided Vertical and Horizontal Transportation consulting services for the new tower at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the city of Oakland, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. The new tower connects to the existing Presbyterian Campus and consists of 644 new private beds, an underground parking deck, kitchen & dining area, public spaces, loading dock, pharmacy, surgical and recovery center and Lifestyle Village. The project includes 32,000 SF of renovations to existing adjoining spaces and 20 stories plus a penthouse.
