I-Think Campus at Thane Façade

This is a proposed IT Park at Thane spread over a 5-acre property and includes approximately 850,000 square feet of total built-up area in Mumbai, India. The design visualized by Aedas Architects comprises structural glazing, skylight, entrance canopy, and shop front glazing. The facade incorporates a flying buttress wall of glass that creates relief from the visual mass of the building. The building covers 2 independent blocks connected by the sky terraces located at every two floors which create a visual appeal of openness and light. The steel substructure supporting the glass which is cantilevered 9 m above the terrace floor slab; is designed by us and also incorporates the provision for the building maintenance unit. This cantilevered glass serves the dual purpose of enhancing the visual appeal and to distract from the chiller plants which are located on the terrace floor.
