October is National Employee Ownership Month, or ESOPtober, and Lerch Bates hosted a series of webinars, discussions, happy hours and spirit days throughout the month to celebrate what it means to be employee-owned in addition to our four other core values.
During week one, we honored our core value of respect by wearing our best Lerch Bates gear and listening to a webinar from employees who joined Team LB through employee referrals. Week two focused on ownership, a trait we embody as part owners of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and the ownership mindset that we bring to every project.
Weeks three and four were centered around integrity and community, respectively, with webinars on how an ESOP is managed, playing ESOP Bingo, and debuting our new employee ownership shirts that were designed by Carley Dunford as part of our ESOPtober T-Shirt Contest.
Last but not least, Lerch Bates concentrated on our core value of optimism and celebrating Halloween during week five of ESOPtober and had a blast dressing in our best costumes and celebrating across all of our offices.
Employee ownership is integral to who we are as a company. It was wonderful to take some extra time to celebrate all the benefits of being an ESOP this month.
