Historic Structure

This historic structure, built in 1900, withstood a windstorm that damaged the roof and awnings that had been updated throughout the life of the building. Lerch Bates’ assessment determined that the mechanically fastened elements in the updated parapet cap and awning failed during a 82 KPH windstorm. In addition to determining the cause of the damage, Lerch Bates provided construction consulting services including cost estimating for the recommended repairs.
