Denver Art Museum Renovation & Addition

The design to update the existing welcome center at the Denver Art Museum features an innovative and complex curtain wall system with curved glass panels. Lerch Bates conducted technical peer reviews of the drawings and specifications to assist in proper detailing of the glazing systems to help ensure that this eye-catching system performs in an equally impressive way.

Lerch Bates provided submittal and shop drawing reviews, preconstruction meetings, construction phase quality assurance observations and reporting, and verified performance of the installed glazing systems through a series of ASTM E1105 water penetration testing. The new space will accommodate events at the art museum and make room for new galleries for visitors to enjoy.
