About this project

The Byron G. Rogers Federal Building is the 620,000 square-foot home to 11 different federal agencies and a local hub for the federal government in Colorado. The building has a historic designation that prevented altering the appearance of the building envelope, which posed a challenge as the windows experienced significant water leakage during weather events. Lerch Bates conducted a series of tests to identify the sources and extent of the water intrusion and used this data to design window repairs.¬†Lerch Bates identified¬†and designed solutions to stop the intrusion. Lerch Bates’ solution contributed to an 80% reduction in energy use, overall sustainability upgrades, and renovated spaces that increased the security and comfort of occupants.
