Lexington Convention Center Renovation and Expansion Project

Architecture firm NBBJ-Los Angeles, in collaboration with Lexington-based EOP, will design the expansion of Lexington Convention Center. The project will enhance the visitor experience for those attending basketball games in the adjacent Rupp Arena, home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. The renovation and expansion of the existing Convention Center will include the addition of a 9,290 square meter Exhibition Hall, a 2,787 square meter ballroom and 2,044 square meters of meeting space. The design will also eliminate existing inefficiencies that make it difficult for Rupp Arena and the Lexington Centre to hold separate events at the same time.
