Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center

Gaylord Rockies is a $800 million, nearly 2 million square foot development near Denver International Airport. The hotel and convention center features 1500 guest rooms, 485,000 SF of state-of-the-art convention spaces, an indoor-outdoor heated lazy river, two heated pools, and employs 1,200 personnel.

Working with the Mortenson Construction, Lerch Bates’ design phase services included kick-off meetings with the project team, Hygrothermal Analysis of vapor barriers at critical envelope points, and Technical Plan and Specifications Review.  Construction phase services included Pre-Construction Meetings with the general contractor and subcontractors, QC Checklist Development, Shop Drawing and Submittals Review, and Quality Assurance Observations. In addition to the robust consulting scope, Lerch Bates has also performed extensive AMAA and ASTM testing of the facilities, windows, storefront and curtain wall installations.
