Lerch Bates was retained by FM Global Insurance to assess a single-story, high bay facility in Minnesota damaged by a fire. A previous report had been prepared by another third party, and Lerch Bates was responsible for verifying the accuracy of the findings in the initial report and elaborating on these findings.

Lerch Bates found that the observations and recommendations in the initial report were accurate and reasonable. In addition, Lerch Bates performed investigative services including observation of roof cores to identify related issues to give the client a comprehensive report of needed repairs and elements that were still in good condition. Lerch Bates also provided construction consulting services including cost estimating for the recommended repairs.
