TIME Magazine recently published their picks for the World’s Greatest Places of 2025, and one of our multidisciplinary projects, the Populus, was featured as it is the country’s first carbon positive hospitality development. Located in downtown Denver, The hotel is designed to resemble aspen trees, also known as populus tremuloides, and the marks left behind once the lower branches shed as the trees grow. This unique architectural design has garnered a lot of buzz and the project required a strong team that could make it beautiful, functional and environmentally conscious.
Alongside partners Urban Villages 和 Studio Gang, Lerch Bates provided 建筑科学 和 建筑流程 consulting services to deliver Total Building Performance™.
Spearheaded by 克里斯·皮克特, our Building Science services included quality assurance inspections, extensive field performance testing of the renowned exterior wall assembly, and roof assembly testing. 斯蒂芬妮·维克曼 led our Vertical Transportation services on the Building Flow side where we provided consulting from the design of their elevators through the construction administration of their assembly.
