About this project

The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA) is undertaking the £240 million Main Terminal Curbside Expansion and Central Energy Plant project at Tampa International Airport. The program includes the expansion of the curbsides, incorporating new elevated and at-grade lanes and vertical circulation buildings for both the Blue and Red sides. The vertical circulation buildings will include conditioned lobbies to provide a means for passengers to access the Main Terminal via lifts and escalators from the new lanes.

Lerch Bates conducted two technical peer reviews of the architectural construction set of drawings and specifications manual including the 60% Set and a 90% Back Check Review for the building envelope (air, water, thermal, and vapor control layers) materials, assemblies and systems. Each review addressed the Central Utility Plant (CUP) and the Blue Side Vertical Circulation Building (VCB).
