Lerch Bates People’s Choice Awards Voting 2022

 

Voting is open now through Sept. 6 for the Lerch Bates People’s Choice Awards, honoring projects public voters believe exemplify the best of what Chicago (and beyond) has to offer. Presented by AIA Chicago in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Center, the Lerch Bates People’s Choice Awards winners will be announced at AIA Chicago‘s DESIGNIGHT Sept. 12. Vote now for your favorite projects across eight categories:

  • Hospitality and Retail
  • Single Family Residential
  • Education
  • Office
  • Multifamily Residential
  • Tall Building
  • Community and Cultural
  • Civic

 

Project finalists were chosen by Chicago Architecture Center docents in a round one jury review form over 125 projects submitted during AIA Chicago’s Design Excellence Awards. Voting closes at 5 p.m. CST on Sept. 6.

Free and open to the public, DESIGNIGHT will be held at Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park from 6-9 p.m., emceed by Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!

 


 

How to vote for your favorite projects: 

1. Click here and create an account: Input your First name, Last name, Email, and a Password of your choice. Once you register, you can start reviewing and selecting your favorite projects.

2. Review: You will see the eight categories listed to the left of your screen (Example: Single Family Residential, Office, etc.) Each category name links to a gallery of five projects for you to review and consider. Once you are in the gallery view, you can view the index of project images and explore details of each project its image.

3. Vote: You can select one project per category. To select a project, click on the heart icon. If you change your mind, just click the heart again to remove your vote. Your votes save and submit automatically; you can simply close the program when you are finished.
