Awni M. Haddad joined Lerch Bates in the Manhattan office in 2016 as Vertical and Horizontal Transportation Consultant, bringing 38 years of experience. As a consultant, Awni is responsible for overseeing vertical and horizontal new design and modernization internationally. Responsibilities includes review and approve survey reports, traffic analysis and reports, drawings, sketches and specs, meet regularly with client to review and approve proposals, and answer questions related to new design, make recommendations on upgrades for units that can be modernized, work closely with the architectural team to design the proper elevator/escalator for the needs of the buildings. Awni reviews elevator shop drawings for all types of building transportation systems, conducts field observations and files project reports, etc. Prior to joining Lerch Bates, Awni was employed by the firm of Jaros, Baum and Bolles (JB&B) as a Vertical Transportation Associate. With JB&B, Awni major involvement and responsibilities was for the entire design and construction phase, construction administration, elevator observation and turnover of the World Trade Center Projects, Towers T1, T3, T4 and September 911 Memorial/Museum.
