In Progress. The 201 Bishopgate and Broadgate Tower will be the newest office buildings to grace the London skyline in the prestigious Bishopsgate area. The Broadgate Tower, at 34 stories, will employ the first ever double-deck, destination control system on two groups of five lifts each. This high technology control system will maximise lift performance while reducing space take from lift shafts, thus allowing greater rentable area in the building. The buildings were designed by the architectural firm of Skidmore Owings and Merrill, LLP of Chicago.
