Janet Hudgins began working for Lerch Bates in the Engineering Department in 1990. As a Vertical Transportation specialist for nine years with the Materials Management & Materials Handling Group, she has provided consulting for over 190 hospitals in the United States, Canada, South America, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. With a focus on the healthcare industry, Janet has been responsible for the training of key consultants within the organization in the analysis and design of the complex vertical transportation systems required for patient, staff, visitor and materials transport. Prior to her healthcare work, Janet worked closely with clients on new construction, modernization and maintenance audits for a variety of diverse projects including universities, US Courthouses, stadiums, office buildings, National Park Cave Elevators, hotels and residential buildings. Janet is a QEI Certified Inspector and a member of the National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities.
