Derek R. Mento joined Lerch Bates in 1998 as part of our drafting and design team after graduating from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Drafting and Design and Auto CAD. While in the drafting department he helped design top projects for Lerch Bates including Los Angeles Airport (LAX), Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW), Lambeau Field and Eagle Stadium. In 2003 Derek became a project manager in our Boston, MA office, responsible for vertical transportation system studies, design, contract documents and construction services for new equipment, modernization services, maintenance evaluations and due diligence studies. Several of his earlier projects include Emerson College, 500 Atlantic Ave, The Liberty Hotel, The Lindeman Building, One Fan Pier, Blue Cross Blue Shield Hingham and Mandarin Oriental. Derek has recently expanded his talents and is currently working on projects such as Atlantic Wharf-Boston, Russia Residential-Boston, Kuwait University-Kuwait, King Faisal-Saudi Arabia, Salaam Beach Hotel and Resort, United States Institute for Piece-Washington D.C. and The McCormack Building-Boston.
