Richard joined Lerch Bates in 2000, as IT Manager, having previously worked in IT security consulting. In addition to holding a Computer Science (with Honours) degree from Kingston University, he is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
With 10 years IT experience in all aspects of networking, communications, hardware, software, procurement and implementation Richard is charged with ensuring Lerch Bates employs “best of breed” solutions across the board for both internal and external IT provision. In addition to managing core systems stability and performance for all offices in Europe he also co-ordinates the development and implementation of bespoke systems ranging from internal business analysis tools (often working with international technical partners) to R&D (in conjunction with his alma mater, Kingston University) exploring new ways in which IT can enhance and progress techniques and technologies which provide important core engineering functions for the organisation.
Beyond his core role Richard also oversees user, partner and client support and is a key member of the companies CSR team, with a specific interest in both environmentally and socially responsible business practices.
