Mohamed Merchant has 11 years experience in Mechanical Engineering, including nine years in the bespoke Facade Access Industry.
Mohamed graduated from Gulbarga University, India with a distinction in Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) in 1998. He started his career in Dubai, United Arab Emirates as Project Engineer for a ship repairing firm and was soon attracted to the Facade Access Industry. With the booming development in the region during the early millennium, Mohamed got the opportunity to work with several major developers including Emmar & Nakheel. He has also been involved in several developments related to the Asian Games in Doha 2006 and in Kuwait.
Mohamed has been heavily involved in all aspects of Facade Access work, but mostly on design, concept and construction related works. He has over the years worked on many high profile projects in the Middle East region, including The Gate Village in Dubai and Central Bank of Kuwait in Kuwait.
With the zeal to develop within the industry, Mohamed moved to the UK and joined Lerch Bates in 2007. He started his role as a Design Engineer and was then promoted to Consultant. He is now leading major Facade Access works within the UK, Europe and beyond.
